The GelBottle Inc. is on an exciting growth journey and were looking for a Regulatory Health and Safety Manager to be part of our vibrant founder-led company. Youll be a proactive and detail-oriented to take ownership of regulatory compliance across research development and manufacturing while ensuring our factory meets and maintains GMP accreditation. Youll be the go-to expert for health and safety working closely with senior leaders technical teams and external partners to create a safe compliant and high-performing environment.
This role will be based at our manufacturing facility in Invergorden and will involve up to 5 days a week onsite.
What youll be doing:
- Lead regulatory compliance for all R&D activities and act as the main contact for external audits (ISO 22716 ISO 9001 HSE ethical/social).
- Prepare the factory for GMP audits and maintain ongoing standards.
- Advise managers on health and safety matters and oversee accident/incident investigations.
- Create and maintain risk assessments (COSHH DSEAR PUWER) and safe systems of work.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and coordinate external testing (LOLER SEMA fire safety).
- Maintain training records and organise retraining where needed.
- Perform internal audits for ISO 22716 GMP compliance.
- Oversee QC checks for all incoming and outgoing goods.
- Provide regulatory documentation to meet global cosmetic standards and liaise with Group stakeholders.
- Work directly with customers to meet technical and regulatory onboarding requirements.
- Collaborate with the Technical Lead and Product Team to support lab needs and regulatory planning for new SKUs.
About you:
Were seeking someone with experience in quality control health and safety compliance and regulatory affairs ideally within a technical or laboratory setting. Youll be confident managing audits documentation and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Experience in QC or regulatory controls
- Knowledge of health and safety compliance (COSHH DSEAR PUWER ISO standards)
- Familiarity with laboratory operations including QC and colour lab processes
- Experience conducting internal audits and managing external audits (ISO 22716 ISO 9001 HSE ethical/social)
- Ability to develop and maintain regulatory documentation
- Comfortable liaising with customers and parent company on technical and regulatory matters
- Understanding of GMP standards and audit criteria
- Awareness of Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 and FDA cosmetic regulations
