Overview
SEDR Recruitment is seeking an experienced Demolition/Civils Manager to lead multiple demolition enabling works and below-ground service removal projects across Scotland and the North of England. This senior role requires strong operational oversight multi-site leadership technical planning and deep demolition/civils expertise.
With significant travel and responsibility for project delivery and workforce coordination the successful applicant will be a highly capable leader familiar with fast-paced safety-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage demolition and enabling works across multiple live sites
Oversee building demolition industrial strip-out pipework removal and underground service decommissioning
Plan project sequencing resources and safe systems of work
Prepare and review RAMS permits temporary works documentation and compliance packs
Manage supervisors civils teams subcontractors and plant allocation
Provide progress reporting programme updates and cost-management input
Build and maintain relationships with clients engineers and local authorities
Ensure works meet CCDO BS 6187 HSG47/HSG150 and CDM requirements
Support tendering pre-construction reviews and project handover
Required Qualifications & Experience
CCDO Manager / Advanced CCDO (ideal)
SMSTS essential
Strong demolition and civils management background
Experience running multi-site demolition programmes
Excellent knowledge of HSE legislation technical standards and demolition guidance
Confident managing teams budgets and client relationships
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively
