ESN is seeking a Ships Force Support Team Habitability Coordinator.

Position located on site in HII NNS Newport News VA.

The primary objective of this role is to provide RCOH planning and execution support to Ships Force to coordinate responsibility and scheduling of decking outfitting and preservation of spaces. The habitability coordinator ensures habitability SWLINs are updated in the Availability Work Package (AWP) ongoing habitability work is reflected in the Booklet of General Plans (BOGP) drawings furniture planning and coordinating with the ship to ensure deck outfitting and preservation of spaces supports RCOH key events. This position works closely with SUPSHIP Newport News project team the SUPSHIP MPM and Ships Force. Participate in daily weekly biweekly and ad-hoc meetings to status completion of work and schedule changes material ordering status and troubleshooting emergent issues.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Advise PM11 Berthings/Furniture PM12 Paint PM13 Decking and PM 22 Ladder Repair teams for CVN 75 RCOH.

Provide HOD level information regarding progress related to SFIMS schedules for decking outfitting and preservation of departmental spaces.

Participate in weekly meetings to align SF with OSIC AIT and shipbuilder key events and milestones progress meetings weekly key event progress meetings and updates weekly HOD reports.

Conduct training and assist Ships Force in the use of Ships Force Information Management System (SFIMS) to include building of tasks inputting work items and progressing of tasks

Assist with SF Production Team formation (manning levels) and execution strategies for accomplishing assigned work such as the Deck department painting plan.

Work with the Ships Force Work Package Material Manager (SFWPMM) to identify source and procure material in support of the SFWP and Assist Ships Force in forecasting SFWP material requirements for production work and tools for associated production teams

Travel less than 10% occasional travel may be required to attend team events or site visits

Performs other duties and works schedules as assigned by management which may include changes to duties responsibilities or work hours as required to meet contractual obligations mission requirements or the needs of the organization.

Required Qualifications:

5 years of experience in planning and execution of Ships Force Work Package (SFWP)

Able to create and modify deck plan drawings in AutoCAD

Must have a working knowledge of the CVN availability planning and execution CSMP management work candidate validation and scheduling.

Physically able to transit in a shipboard environment; to include inclined and vertical ladders service lead obstructed passageways and a constantly changing dynamic environment

Knowledge of MS Excel Access and PowerPoint (and Outlook).

Desired Qualifications:

Project/Program Management experience.

Former US Navy Chief Petty Officer Chief Warrant Officer or Limited Duty Officer.

Bachelors Degree from an accredited university.

Experience working with or at a shipyard Supervisor of Shipbuilding Command (SUPSHIP) Regional Maintenance Center (RMC) and/or Type Commander (TYCOM) supporting construction operation maintenance modernization and/or repair of Aircraft Carrier systems and components.

Clearance Requirements:

US Citizen with Active DoD Secret Clearance.
