DESCRIPTION MAACs Driving Under the Influence Program (DUIP) provides individual counseling group counseling and educational services to persons 18 years of age and older who have been charged with driving under the influence and referred by the Court Probation or the Department of Motor Vehicles as required by Title 9 of the California Code of Regulations. The MAAC Project DUI Program is licensed by the State of California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs contracted by the County of San Diego.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent assists and supports the Program Manager with programmatic planning coordination and oversight of all direct service providers at MAACs Driving Under the Influence Program. They also support the deployment of departmental strategic plans policies and procedures and monitor compliance with state and county requirements and MAAC policies and procedures.

- Provides direct counseling support and coaching to counseling staff.
- Ensure all counseling staff are fully trained in all areas of assigned responsibility.
- Monitors operational procedures in conjunction with contractual requirements.
- Ensure counseling staff adhere to all related policies and procedures
- Ensures counseling staff adhere to the County electronic health record and entries are made within the designated timeline.
- Responsible for the oversight of daily operations and assisting with interviewing potential applicants
- Responsible for participating in audits conducted by the County State and MAAC.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Knowledge of:- Title 9 County and DUI Program requirements
- Chemical dependency issues and resolutions
- Federal state and local regulatory codes related to program or project activities and operations.
- Community and social service needs of low-income people and relevant community resources.
- General office administration practices and procedures.
- Standard business software including Word Outlook Access Excel databases and use of the internet.
- Recordkeeping and filing practices and procedures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATION
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in Health and Human Services such as Psychology Social Sciences Chemical Dependency strongly preferred
- Two years of experience working in a substance use disorder program
- Certified in one of the following drug and alcohol body/Agency (ACCBC CADTP CCAPP) preferred
- Bilingual/biliterate (English/Spanish) required
