The Office of Animal Resources at the University of Iowa is seeking an Animal Caretaker III. A supervisory position you will join a team of veterinarians veterinary technicians and other animal caretakers. Under general supervision you will be responsible for animals used in research and/or teaching. Also supervises the maintenance and care of facilities and equipment used in animal care. Ensures compliance with federal state and/or university regulations regarding the care and use of animals in research and teaching.
Work Schedule: 7:00 am 3:30 pm Sunday-Thursday days off are Friday and Saturday.

Qualifications:
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Ability to read write and follow instructions.
Four years experience and/or education in animal care work with demonstrated ability in the required skills or
American Association of Laboratory Animal Science full certification as a Laboratory Animal Technician with a minimum of three years applicable work experience.
Special Qualification/Licenses
Possession of a valid state or commercial drivers license and the ability to meet University Fleet Safety Standards.
