Payroll Business Analyst
Payroll Business Analyst conducts analytical work to support payroll processing and compliance within all payroll functions of Select Medicals Payroll Services Department.

Responsibilities
- Analyzes payroll-related functions processes and activities to provide suggestions for enhancements that will improve efficiencies and business outcomes.
- Design build and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets and VBA macros Access databases and dashboards to support analysis process automation and business needs.
- Ability to generate routinely scheduled and ad-hoc reports and present findings and insights to business partners and stakeholders in a clear and actionable format.
- Manage retrieval and organization of large volumes of data from various timekeeping/payroll systems.
- Support the department management team with the development of data-driven solutions to business challenges.
- Assists with the creation of training and reference documents for business-related templates databases and routine Excel functions.
Qualifications
Required:
- 1 to 3 years of applicable and proven experience in business and data analysis. Proficient in payroll accounting and financial principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Proven expertise in advanced Excel and VBA development for automating processes and analyzing data is required.
- Knowledge of information systems reporting and programming is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy.
Preferred:
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited school in business or finance preferred.
- Ability to work independently manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Prior and proven experience successfully working in a fast-paced results-oriented environment.
- Prior experience with Oracle E-Business Suite UKG and ADP payroll products. Experience with MicroStrategy and SplashBI preferred.
- Superior attention to detail and task-prioritization/organization under minimal supervision and in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with mature judgment and integrity.
