PROGRAM:Learning Centers in Pembroke Easton and West Teaching Assistant SCHEDULE:Tutor Salary Schedule : School Diploma or Degree OF POSITION:10 Months - 183 Days Summer Mandatory-6 week TO:Learning Center Program :Staff Evaluation will be implemented as outlined in the North River Collaborative Personnel Policies & Procedures RESPONSIBILITIES: support for individual students or small groups of students to reinforce skills. as a member of a team with other program staff to provide a consistent program for students in the absence of a staff staff in devising special strategies for reinforcing materials or skills based on a sympathetic understanding of individual students their needs interests and the planning preparation and implementation of daily academic vocational and life skills to maintain an environment to facilitate learning experiences for the responsibility for scheduled activities and implementation when a teacher is not behavior management programs for students as crisis intervention when AND and follow through on constructive criticism made by supervisor(s). and participate in in-service training programs and staff development meetings as specific teaching strategies or skills for instructing individual students when necessary. AND staff in maintaining student attendance records and other data as by program hours and other policies as outlined in the North River Collaborative Personnel Policies and Procedures AND SAFETY 1. Can physically lift up to 50 pounds and assist in lifting over 100 pounds and assist students in all daily activities. This will require the ability to physically lift a student or assist in lifting and physically accompany a student during activities such as toileting personal hygiene and self-care tasks. Can physically lift or assist in lifting students into adaptive/therapy equipment when able to physically assist students during fire drills or actual emergency to the needs of individual students so as to enhance their self- esteem and personal training is able to apply de-escalation strategies if necessary to prevent a student from harming him/herself or high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students. professional attitudes and productive relationships with other staff and parents and other professionals with DUTIES AS ASSIGNED BY THE PROGRAM COORDINATOR.
