Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) a member of the Texas A&M University System welcomes applicants for anAssociate or Full Professor of Criminal Justice to beginFall 2026.

TAMIU is a Hispanic Serving Institution with over 8000 students located in Laredo Texas a vibrant and bicultural city with a population of about 250000. The university advances knowledge through research and discovery teaching and learning community engagement and public service and with an intentional focus on student success and research excellence. For more information please visit is afull-time Associate or Full Professor of Criminal Justice to begin Fall 2026. This is a tenured (9-month) faculty position. Tenure will only be granted after approval of the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents. Primary duties will includeconducting research and teaching of face-to-face and online undergraduate courses online graduate courses and hybrid doctoral courses. Duties also includeservice on departmental college university and professional committees including service on dissertation committees. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.

The successful candidate must hold adoctorate in Criminal Justice or a related field. While all specializations will be considered candidates with expertise in policing immigration and crime quantitative research methods and/or geospatial analysis are especially encouraged to apply. We strongly encourage candidates with strong research skills a strong record of peer-reviewed publication the potential for or prior experience with seeking and/or securing external grant funding and at least 5 years of full-time university teaching experience.
