Position Overview

At JMark legal expertise is mission-critical to supporting the Intelligence Community (IC). We are seeking Law Clerks (Attorneys) across multiple discipline levels to conduct in-depth legal research review sensitive documentation and ensure compliance with national security legal frameworks. This role requires a JD and specialized knowledge of statutes regulations and executive orders governing intelligence operations including FISA and EO 12333.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Research & Analysis

Conduct specialized research on case law statutes regulations and executive orders relevant to the IC and national security.
Produce clear actionable legal products to support IC decision-making.
Provide accurate timely guidance on intelligence-related legal issues.

Document Review & Redaction

Review documents for legal sufficiency privilege FOIA and Privacy Act exemptions.
Recommend appropriate redactions for different audiences and flag sensitive intelligence sources/methods for possible exemption.

Case Management & Compliance

Track compliance and manage cases in line with IC-specific legal and regulatory frameworks.
Support discovery ensuring adherence to protocols for handling CUI and classified information.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD).
015 years of experience in national security intelligence or government legal research (multi-discipline levels available).
Expertise in FISA EO 12333 Privacy Act and FOIA frameworks.
Strong analytical writing and document review skills.

Preferred

Experience supporting ODNI IC or DoD legal operations.
Familiarity with discovery protocols in classified or sensitive environments.
