Assessor (local travel required during work hours)

Position: Meals On Wheels Assessor
Compensation: $15.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm (with some flexibility)

LaJoy Group is seeking a full-time team member that possesses a high level of detail and customer service to work within a growing (and amazing) team. This role involves traveling to residents homes to conduct thorough assessments and evaluations ensuring their needs are effectively identified and addressed. The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills a detail-oriented approach and the ability to provide tailored recommendations for services.

This position requires travel in Wayne County (excluding Detroit) to the homes of applicants for the Meals on Wheels program. Use of company car is available but limited to 50% of the work week.

After training is complete administrative tasks can be completed remotely or in the office.

Job Responsibilities
Travel to residents homes within Wayne County (excluding Detroit) to perform in-person assessments and evaluations.
Conduct detailed evaluations to understand the residents needs preferences and circumstances.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all assessments visits and interactions.
Contact applicants to introduce the program conduct initial questions and schedule on-site assessments.
Provide education and guidance ton the program and requirements.
Adhere to all organizational policies confidentiality requirements and ethical standards.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of services.

Requirements
Highschool diploma required.
Previous experience in conducting interviews or assessments preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Valid drivers license.
Ability to manager time effectively and work independently.
Comfort with traveling within the area required and reliable transportation.
Previous experience working with a vulnerable population or customers preferred.
