Senior Legal Counsel (Clinical & Corporate)
Barbican & Epsom Hybrid Working (2 days a week) Legal & Governance Permanent
Competitive salary available depending on experience
37.5 hours per week

Were looking for aSenior Legal Counsel (Clinical & Corporate)to join our Legal team and play a pivotal role in supporting our strategic goals while managing risk and ensuring compliance. Reporting to the Chief Legal & Governance Officer youll be part of a friendly forward-thinking team in a dynamic organisation that values development and innovation.
As our Senior Legal Counsel (Clinical & Corporate)you will:
Advise on legal regulatory and governance matters across our Hospitals and Clinical teams including CMA compliance.
Draft review and negotiate a wide range of commercial and clinical contracts (e.g. NHS and private medical insurer agreements).
Support corporate transactions such as acquisitions disposals and strategic collaborations.
Enhance governance and compliance through policy development and risk mitigation.
Deliver in-house training and legal updates to clinical and hospital teams.
Monitor legislative developments and advising on their impact.
Deputise for the Chief Legal & Governance Officer on charity and company secretarial matters.
Manage relationships with external legal advisors.
To succeed as a Senior Legal Counsel (Clinical & Corporate)were looking for:
A UK-qualified solicitor or barrister with at least10 years PQE ideally gained in healthcare law within an in-house or specialist private practice setting. You bring:
Strong regulatory and compliance expertise ideally in healthcare.
Experience with NHS contracting and commercial agreements.
Corporate transactional knowledge.
Ability to translate complex legal issues into practical business advice.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
A proactive pragmatic and commercially astute mindset.
Confidence working independently in a fast-paced environment.
