Electrical Engineer GE Healthcare Bone and Metabolic Health (BMH)

Join GE Healthcares Bone and Metabolic Health (BMH) team as an Electrical Engineer and shape the future of medical imaging technology. Youll lead the charge in designing and developing cutting-edge electrical solutions for our market-leading Dual-energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DXA) product line revolutionizing bone density and body composition measurement. Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovate with Purpose: Define and develop advanced electrical engineering solutions that align with multi-generational hardware platforms for new product introductions (NPI).

  • Collaborate Globally: Partner with systems application marketing service and clinical teams as well as customers to gather requirements and design impactful systems.

  • Drive Efficiency: Lead cost improvement initiatives (VCP) to enhance the performance and sustainability of our installed base.

  • Build Relationships: Work closely with suppliers to manage NPI sustainment (SCRs) and component end-of-life (EOL) activities.

  • Support Excellence: Provide technical expertise to ensure the reliability and success of DXA products in the field and factory.

What You Bring:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering Science or a related discipline.

  • Experience: 5 years of progressive experience in product and technology development with a proven track record of delivering results.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Advanced Education: Masters Degree in Engineering Science or a related field.

  • Industry Expertise: Experience in medical imaging or a closely related field with a knack for technical development and product execution.

  • Communication & Leadership: Exceptional oral and written communication skills paired with strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.

  • Problem-Solving Prowess: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions.

  • Project Mastery: Proven skills in leading programs/projects with the ability to plan document and execute with precision.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in circuit board layout associated software packages and hands-on experience soldering components (down to size 0402).
