Responsibilities:
- Conducting physical assessments of newborns in the neonatal unit.
- Developing and implementing care plans for premature infants.
- Monitoring and managing the health status of neonatal patients.
- Collaborating with neonatologists and other healthcare professionals.
- Providing education and support to families of newborns.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Documenting patient information accurately and efficiently.
- Participating in multidisciplinary rounds and meetings.
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physicians Assistant (PA) license.
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Previous experience in neonatal care is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in patient care.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and schedules.
Level III NICU
Schedule: Friday-Monday 3p-7a
Duties: Intubations central line placement peripheral arterial lines attend high-risk deliveries and ground and air transports
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
