Job Description

Nurse Practitioner - Heart Failure ICU - FT Nights

Job Type:

Full-time

Salary:

Annual Salary: $135000 - $147000

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care for patients in the Heart Failure ICU focusing on assessment diagnosis and treatment.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
  • Monitor patients progress and adjust plans as necessary collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Educate patients and families regarding health management treatment options and preventive measures.
  • Perform advanced clinical procedures and manage critical care interventions as required.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
  • Participate in quality improvement and research initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Nursing or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in Texas.
  • Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP).
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
  • Experience in managing heart failure patients or similar conditions preferred.
  • Proficient in performing advanced critical care procedures.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for patient and family interactions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
