AFood Service Assistantprepares food and completes related tasks according to quality and safety standards to ensure satisfaction and achieve departmental food service goals. Provides oversight for the set-up and maintenance of all front of the house service-related tasks and ensures a clean and safe service area. This position works closely with students student managers and limited term employees to serve customers.
Job Responsibilities:
20% Performs routine food preparation activities such as portioning chopping food and serving food to customers
20% Assists and guides student workers
20% Greets customers answers questions and provides basic information regarding food preparation and associated activities
10% Prepares a variety of basic dishes and assists in the preparation of more complex dishes
10% Cleans inspects and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas
10% Adheres to federal state and local food safety regulations policies and procedures
10% Coordinate and perform the set-up and clean-up of preparation production service areas and equipment
Number of Positions: 3
Tentative Schedule:
Monday-Thursday: 1:00pm-9:30pm &Sunday: 9:00am-5:30pm
OR
Tuesday Friday: 1:00pm-9:30pm & Saturday: 9:00am-5:30pm
Six months of food service experience in a professional setting
One year of food service experience in a professional setting
ServSafe Certification Food Handler or Manager certification
Experience leading and /or training staff
Experience in a customer service environment
