Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Inventory Control Coordinator provides leadership and expertise in managing inventory accuracy resolving discrepancies and driving best practices in inventory management. This role acts as a subject matter expert for the inventory control team supports daily cycle counts and audits investigates root causes of inventory issues and partners with operations leadership to improve processes. The Senior Coordinator also provides training guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Lead and coordinate daily inventory control activities including cycle counts audits and reconciliation of variances.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for complex inventory issues and escalations.

  • Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies document findings and recommend corrective actions.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve accuracy efficiency and accountability in inventory control processes.

  • Partner with operations receiving shipping and planning teams to ensure accurate product flow and system transactions.

  • Monitor and report on inventory accuracy metrics aged stock and shrink trends.

  • Provide guidance training and support to Inventory Control Coordinators and other team members.

  • Assist with year-end and quarter-end physical inventory counts ensuring compliance with company standards.

  • Maintain documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and update as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with safety quality and company policies during all inventory control activities.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; associates or bachelors degree preferred.

  • 35 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations with at least 1 year in a senior or lead role.

  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) ERP and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong understanding of cycle counting reconciliation and root cause analysis.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and train others in standard work.

Skills Abilities and Knowledge

  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) ERP and Microsoft Office (specifically Excel).

  • Strong understanding of cycle counting reconciliation and root cause analysis.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and train others in standard work.

  • Ability to troubleshoot solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Individual Contributor: working team member with no oversight of others and no management responsibilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position is subject to light work; Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls require exertion of force greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time the job is rated for light work.

Physical Activities

This position is subject to the following physical activities: talking listening hearing climbing balancing kneeling crouching reaching standing walking pushing pulling lifting grasping feeling crawling talking hearing and repetitive motions.

Visual Acuity

Team member is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as data entry and written communication and review with customers; Viewing multiple computer screens; Expansive reading and comprehension; Visual inspection of product images involving small defects small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices.

Working Conditions

This position operates in a variable environment including a professional office and including heat noise vibration and hazards from a warehouse-based environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
