Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient- centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
The Department of Internal Medicine provides quality patient care education and research within the region and the University of Manitoba (U of M). The Manager of Physician Services provides administrative support including HR payroll and accounting services for Section Heads clinician researchers clinician scientists and basic scientists. The Manager Physician Services provides this function for assigned sections within the Medicine Program.
Reporting to the Managing Director Department of Internal Medicine the incumbent is responsible for planning coordinating implementing and evaluating quality improvement and policy development activities for the assigned sections. The incumbent provides managerial support for the Geographical Full-Time physicians (GFTs) PhD Scientists Research Associates Clinical Assistants and Research Nurses within his/her respective section(s). Responsibilities encompass human resource accounting payroll and project management for both the Health Sciences Centre (HSC) and University of Manitoba.
