Your Responsibilities
- Mixed Caseload Management: Managing a mixed caseload of commercial and residential property transactions
- Residential Transactions: Handling freehold and leasehold sales purchases and re-mortgages for residential clients
- Commercial Property: Managing commercial property acquisitions disposals and lease negotiations
- Legal Documentation: Conducting property searches reviewing contracts and preparing legal documentation
- Client Liaison: Liaising with clients estate agents mortgage lenders and commercial clients
- Legal Advisory: Providing clear legal advice and regular updates throughout transactions
- Completion Work: Preparing transfer deeds completion statements and post-completion formalities
- Land Registry: Handling Land Registry applications and resolving registration issues
- Tax Compliance: Managing SDLT submissions and ensuring compliance with tax obligations
- Client Relationships: Building and maintaining strong client relationships across both sectors
- Business Development: Supporting business development and contributing to department growth
Essential Requirements
Experience & Qualifications:
- Experienced Property Fee Earner with knowledge of both commercial and residential work
- Strong understanding of property law and conveyancing procedures
- Dual sector experience managing both commercial and residential transactions
- Case management skills with ability to manage own caseload with minimal supervision
Technical Skills:
- Commercial property expertise including acquisitions disposals and lease negotiations
- Residential conveyancing experience with freehold and leasehold transactions
- Legal technology proficiency with case management systems experience
- Land Registry applications and registration issue resolution
Key Skills:
- Excellent communication and client care skills across both sectors
- Strong attention to detail with ability to work accurately under pressure
- Commercial awareness and commitment to business development
- Problem-solving abilities with proactive approach to complex transactions
- Time management skills with ability to prioritise mixed caseloads effectively
