The opportunity

  • Autonomous administration role supporting Underwriters in our Property Motor and Liability team.

  • Supportive team-leader wholl invest in your growth and development.

Your new role

Reporting to our Team Leader Administration youll play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and excellent service delivery. As an Assistant Underwriter your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing administration support to the Underwriters and the team on insurance policies from new business Mid Term Adjustments (MTAs) and renewals through to their cancellation or lapse.

  • Supporting activities such as managing credit control production of Certificates of Insurance & processing policies and schedules.

  • Developing good working relationships and ensuring timely communication with all internal customers and stakeholders.

  • Happy to chat flexible working.

About you

Youll thrive in a collaborative team environment taking ownership of your work and making a meaningful impact through your strong administration and customer service skills. Youll also bring:

  • Proven experience in an administration role with a sharp eye for detail.

  • The ability to work well under pressure and use your initiative to make sound decisions.

  • Strong analytical communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Confidence using Excel and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.

  • A natural ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Whilst insurance experience is preferred we welcome applicants from outside the insurance sector who bring transferable skills and a proactive attitude.
