Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue Fort Worth TX 76104

The Womens Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth a MAGNET and Texas 10-Step facility has previously been named Best Place to Have a Baby and is a Maternal Level IV designated facility

Work hours: Full Time Nights (6:45PM-7:15AM) for 36 hours/week withWeekend and holiday requirements.

Womens & Infants Services Department highlights:

Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth

Will float to Labor & Delivery (LDR) Mother/Baby (couplet care) Neonatal ICU (NICU) and Antepartum

18-bed LDRs 5-bay OB/ED 5 triage rooms 3 OR suites

Average 275 deliveries per month

Wide range of patients and plan of care water births nitrous oxide Midwifery and high-risk patients.

63-bed Level III NICU will work with Level II infants

27-bed Mother/Baby couplet care unit

Heres What You Need

Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required

BSN is preferred

CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)

RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required

One (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) or completion of an RN residency program required.

One (1) year or more of Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP) setting RN experience strongly preferred

BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

Assesses the patient

Plans the care of the patient

Intervenes as appropriate

Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift inter-hospital and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
