Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria Virginia and Orlando Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning design infrastructure management technical consulting engineering and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army Air Force Navy Marine Corps) missions along with other US federal agencies all over the world.
The Facility Engineer is responsible for planning and conducting technical refresh and maintenance surveys at various project sites. This role involves assessing the condition of facility infrastructure equipment and overall operational readiness. The engineer also helps to develop detailed facility survey reports and sustainment plans ensuring that all findings are properly integrated into project execution plans.
This is a nationwide project and we need someone who is willing to travel and take on assignments at various project sites across the country.
This position is contingent upon the award of the contract
Key Responsibilities:
Plan schedule and execute technical refresh and maintenance surveys at designated PMSP sites to ensure facility infrastructure remains operational secure and aligned with project requirements.
Conduct detailed assessments of facility infrastructure utilities equipment and overall operational readiness identifying deficiencies risks and areas for improvement.
Support the preparation of comprehensive Facility Survey Reports including technical data analysis and recommendations for maintenance upgrades and corrective actions.
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of maintenance programs to maintain operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
Document survey results and maintain accurate records ensuring all reports comply with project documentation standards and reporting requirements.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
Bachelors degree in Engineering Architecture or a related field; professional certifications (e.g. EIT PE PMP) or specialized training in facility management or infrastructure assessment are a plus.
5 years of proven experience conducting facility assessments infrastructure surveys and technical evaluations preferably within government defense or maritime-related projects.
Familiarity with maritime security infrastructure including coastal facilities port operations and site-specific requirements for surveillance and communications systems.
Solid understanding of facility design standards maintenance practices and regulatory requirements related to building codes safety standards and operational readiness.
Experience in preparing and reviewing technical reports analyzing data and translating findings into actionable recommendations for maintenance and upgrades.
