Introduction
The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.

This is a grant funded contractual position
Responsibilities
you will be responsible to:
- ensure proper identification and registration of patients as per study protocol
- provide training to the study staff as per the protocols and guidelines of study
- independent consultant status and provide accessible compassionate ethical and evidence-based care to patients be with multidisciplinary team in an academic setting
- provide clinical service in in-patient and out-patient services with the senior faculty members
- should be able to plan coordinate and execute assigned tasks and implementation of the trial as per the protocol
- ensure implementation of ethical practices in research and clinical work
- perform daily team rounds formulate management plans daily in consultation with senior faculty members
- practice a system that is quality based and has an academic and service model imbibed in it

- participate in teaching undergraduates and postgraduates according to the defined standards and curriculum
- identify key challenges and areas of improvements and develop appropriate solutions to overcome barriers accordingly
- participate in the departmental and organizational performance improvement in patient care.
Requirement
You should have:
- MBBS with a valid PMDC license (preferably with additional certification and knowledge of Good Clinical Practices)
- at least 5 years of experience
- expertise in training teams according to protocol
- ability to provide patient care in a diverse setting and satisfy and retain patients in clinical practice
- excellent teaching and clinical skills
- highly organized and self-motivated
- excellent interpersonal communication skills
- ability to work in team
- integrity and strong research ethics
- excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- strong computer skills
