Institution and Role

The Tommy and Victoria Baker School of Business at The Citadel The Military College of South Carolina invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Finance at the Assistant or Associate Professor level beginning Fall 2026.

Position Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in financial planning corporate finance and financial management.
- Support curriculum development aligned with CFP Board and CFA Institute content areas.
- Advise and mentor finance majors guiding them toward careers in personal financial planning wealth management and corporate finance.
- Maintain Scholarly Academic (SA) status through peer-reviewed publications and scholarly activities in financial planning corporate finance or financial management.
- Actively engage with professional organizations (e.g. CFP Board FPA CFA Society).
- Participate in service activities including departmental and school-level committee work.

Qualifications

- Ph.D. in Finance (AACSB-accredited institution; ABD considered).
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and research in financial planning and management.

Preferred

CFP or CFA designation professional financial planning/wealth management experience or a research record in financial planning/financial management.
