Job Description:

Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Product Owner to lead the product vision and delivery for a real-time location tracking application integrated within a mobile app.
The application is designed to track drivers trucks children and other moving entities using telemetry data collected from users mobile devices.
The product is part of a telecom providers offering built and Java and deployed in Microsoft Azure.
You will work closely with two Agile pods driving feature development roadmap execution and stakeholder engagement across mobile web and backend components.
Strong expertise in mobile development IoT location tracking technologies and telecom platforms is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Own and manage the product backlog for two Agile development pods delivering the location tracking solution.
Define refine and prioritize features epics and user stories aligned with customer needs and business objectives.
Lead planning and grooming sessions ensuring development teams have clear and actionable requirements.
Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams working and Java deployed on Microsoft Azure.
Guide the development of mobile telemetry-based tracking features ensuring high accuracy and performance.
Oversee integration with mobile sensors (GPS accelerometer etc.) to support real-time tracking.
Ensure seamless experience within the telecom mobile app ecosystem working with mobile and network teams.
Translate customer use cases (e.g. tracking kids drivers fleet) into scalable product features.
Monitor user behaviour and data analytics to continuously improve the product experience.
Manage dependencies between mobile web and backend systems.
Ensure compliance with privacy data protection and telecom regulations.

Required Qualifications:

6 years of experience in Product Owner or Product Management roles.
Proven experience managing web and mobile applications ideally in a telecom or location tracking context.
Strong knowledge of mobile telemetry GPS tracking and device sensor integration.
Experience working with IoT solutions especially those involving real-time data from edge/mobile devices.
Technical understanding Java and cloud-native architectures on Microsoft Azure.
Experience managing Agile teams (minimum two development pods).
Excellent skills in requirement gathering stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination.
Proficient with tools like Jira Confluence and Agile workflows.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in telecom products or integrations with telecom platforms.
Familiarity with mobile development frameworks (e.g. Swift Kotlin React Native).
Knowledge of geofencing route optimization or real-time location analytics.
Understanding of cloud-based IoT platforms (e.g. Azure IoT Hub AWS IoT).
Experience in privacy-first design for location tracking applications.
