Those in application security at PwC will be responsible for providing security services to development teams including code scanning readiness testing and penetration testing to enable application teams to build and deploy secure applications in Production. You will utilise a risk-based methodology and shift-left approach to engage early in the software development lifecycle.

Job Description & Summary:

As a security engineer at PwC you will design implement and maintain security systems to protect an organisations digital assets. You will analyse potential vulnerabilities develop strategies to mitigate risks and confirm compliance with industry standards and regulations. Additionally you will conduct security audits and provide recommendations for enhancing the overall security posture.

Responsibilities:

Engage business and technology stakeholders at all levels converting architectural designs into practical implementations across Security Engineering phases - design build test deploy and improve.
Map long-term business requirements and security standards to functional engineering implementations.
Design and build security technology solutions aligned to a global central service environment.
Utilize and apply security technology at an enterprise and solution level to meet control requirements.
Perform Security Engineering tasks with autonomy.

Mandatory skill sets:

Demonstrate experience with at least two endpoint security technologies such as AV/AM EDR PAM DLP etc.
Possess experience with multiple OS platforms (Mac Windows Linux) endpoint types (Laptop Mobile Servers) and cloud workload types (containers serverless functions & SaaS resources).

Preferred skill sets:

Possess experience writing and refining technical documentation

Education qualification:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related field.
