About Us

MCA Engineering is a leading provider of engineering and construction services to the mining and industrial sectors across Australia. Our team is known for tackling complex projects with innovative solutions and a focus on safety quality and performance.

We are starting a new project near Dubbo and are now looking for a site-based Civil Project Engineer to join our team for a minimum 6-month project. This is a FIFO or DIDO role with accommodation provided. Youll be working hands-on to help deliver civil infrastructure as part of a mining surface construction project.

Manufacturing winding systems

Concrete slick lines

Conveyance design and manufacture

Ore pass design and installation

Passive mooring systems oil and gas

Conveyor systems

FRP Projects

Labour Hire & Mine Maintenance

Project Engineer Responsibilities:

Support planning scheduling and execution of civil construction activities

Translate project specs permits and drawings into work packs and execution plans

Monitor site progress identify and resolve technical issues

Liaise with engineers site supervisors and contractors to ensure compliance with design and safety standards

Conduct regular site inspections and report on milestones and variations

Assist with technical documentation risk assessments and change management

Communicate effectively with stakeholders and contribute to project meetings

About You

Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering

3 years of experience in civil or construction project engineering (mining experience highly regarded)

Proficiency in interpreting multi-disciplinary drawings and construction documentation

Strong site-based experience and understanding of safety QA and construction compliance

Excellent communication and coordination skills

Confident working independently in remote locations on rosters

Familiarity with P6 or other scheduling tools (desirable)

Able to commence work within the next 3-4 weeks

Must be able to pass regular D&A testing and site required medicals
