Primary Details

Time Type: Full time

Worker Type: Employee

Responsible to write SME & Retail products across multiple brokers and key brokers; support underwriting activities and P&Ls for the Retail and SME segment on a portfolio level; manually underwriting of yet-to-be digital products for new business and/or renewals including renewal reviews raters preparation quotation generation and system submission and tracking; and building relationship with intermediaries and ensuring delivery of quality underwriting services; and assisting in product development innovation and testing.

Your new role:

  • Write SME products including digital and non-digital products across multinational broker and key broker channels

  • Maintain good working relationships with intermediaries and internal stakeholders

  • Participate in company activities and meeting to share and develop strategy knowledge and best practices

  • Assist in product development innovation and testing

  • Provide technical and specialist product expertise to intermediates on the range of products offered

  • Maintain and develop a profitable portfolio

  • Support the evaluation of risk for new business and renewals to ensure profitable growth

  • Adhere to underwriting standards instructions and good practice to minimise risks and maximise efficiency

  • Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines internal audit and other governance and compliance requirements.

About you:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification preferrable

  • ANZIIF or CII Qualification

  • Negotiation and problem-solving skills

  • Analytical and research skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to analyze data use for decision-making

  • Commercial acumen

  • Good team player

  • Good relationship with multinational and key brokers
