Description
- Responsible for supporting the strategic and business planning processes through establishing and managing the activities required to maintain the data sets needed for preparation of reports and analyses used in planning efforts
- This position is the point person for providing and analyzing data required in planning efforts
- Facilitates achievement of key strategic initiatives and business development through data analysis and decision support
- Manages internal and external data sets and tools
- Supports management of vendor relationships with data suppliers
- Develops and maintains detailed knowledge of data set structure and elements/fields including source of data field definitions (e.g. cross references for codes) reliability of data field and appropriate fields to use for various analyses
- Summarizes data and highlight key strategic implications of data to assist decision-makers
- Documents source of data and parameters of data selection in workpapers
- Develops systematic approaches to downstream analysis
- Functions as an advisor to other departments for similar data reporting
- Provides and manages training process for tools and resources to SPO members as approppriate
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters Degree preferred (MHA MHSA MBA MPH) with a minimum of six years in a decision support role preferably with focus in healthcare
- Must be proficient in MicroSoft Office applications to include Word Excel and Powerpoint
- Must have expert skills in Access
- Must have understanding of planning databases and data resources and be able to use as appropriate
