Our Procurement Services Office is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Senior Manager Procurement Innovation & Optimization to join our team. This strategic role reports directly to the Director Procurement Operations who leads the enterprise-wide Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving innovation and continuous improvement across procurement operations. They will collaborate closely with Innovation & Information Technology (I&IT) Accounts Payable (AP) and Procurement Portfolio Managers to ensure the P2P process flows smoothly and efficiently strengthening communication enhancing performance and delivering value across the organization.
What will I be doing
- Will own the P2P process for the enterprise ensuring the smooth and timely flow of the steps in the P2P process by maintaining strong lines of communication with I&IT AP and Procurement Portfolio Managers.
- Responsible as the business owner for all technology applications that support Procurement Portfolio Management including procurement modules in Oracle EBS (iProcurement Receiver and Requester Sourcing and Purchasing) Source to Contract Platform AME (Approvals Management Engine) and any future technology investments.
- Performs research documents business requirements reviews and assesses design/amendments to business processes related to the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and translates business requirements into solutions.
- Ensures that vendor data is generated quickly and accurately and that high data quality supports smooth transaction processing such as Purchase Order (PO) creation and drawdowns.
- Responsible for the seamless integration with technologies that share data with Oracle but are not directly under the control of Procurement e.g. Unifier Infor i-Expense. Acting as primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Procurement liaises regularly with other technology business owners.
- Applies LEAN principles to all process improvements to ensure that procurement processes balance compliance audit requirements with efficiency.
- Leads and directs staff (e.g. defines roles responsibilities and expectations); delivers timely feedback to ensure a cohesive operational unit and the optimum use of team skills.
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need
- Completion of a degree Business Administration Engineering Computer Science Information Management or a related discipline or a combination of education training and experience deemed equivalent.
- Demonstratedexperience/training in sourcing and P2P including leadership in governance process systems technology change management and data functions.
- Direct experience working in Oracle EBS a must. Exposure to Primavera Unifier and Infor EAM would be ideal.
- Supply Chain Management and Project Management Professionals designations preferred.
- Understanding and comfort with integration of highly complex ERP systems.
- Experience with process design business process re-engineering and reporting.
