Manage all phases of roadway and highway projects from planning through design and delivery.
Lead project teams including internal staff and subconsultants ensuring on-time on-budget and high-quality project execution.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients building and maintaining strong trust-based relationships.
Work directly with Caltrans and other public agencies ensuring all deliverables meet agencys standards and expectations.
Monitor project budgets schedules and scopes of work.
Contribute to business development efforts including proposal preparation and project pursuit strategies.
Mentor junior engineers and support staff to support career growth and knowledge transfer.
Ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations as well as TYLin quality standards.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in California or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in roadway and highway design.
Demonstrated experience working with Caltrans including familiarity with Caltrans standards procedures and project delivery processes (PID PA&ED PS&E).
Proven success in delivering projects for public agencies such as Caltrans local municipalities or regional transportation authorities.
Strong communication presentation and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management tools is a plus.
Experience with environmental documentation and permitting is a plus.
Pay Transparency: TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment we have provided the base compensation range of$115000 - $170000 annually for this position and local market.
