Job Summary

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Manage all phases of roadway and highway projects from planning through design and delivery.

• Lead project teams including internal staff and subconsultants ensuring on-time on-budget and high-quality project execution.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients building and maintaining strong trust-based relationships.

• Work directly with Caltrans and other public agencies ensuring all deliverables meet agencys standards and expectations.

• Monitor project budgets schedules and scopes of work.

• Contribute to business development efforts including proposal preparation and project pursuit strategies.

• Mentor junior engineers and support staff to support career growth and knowledge transfer.

• Ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations as well as TYLin quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in California or ability to obtain within 6 months.

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in roadway and highway design.

• Demonstrated experience working with Caltrans including familiarity with Caltrans standards procedures and project delivery processes (PID PA&ED PS&E).

• Proven success in delivering projects for public agencies such as Caltrans local municipalities or regional transportation authorities.

• Strong communication presentation and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management tools is a plus.

• Experience with environmental documentation and permitting is a plus.

Additional Information

Pay Transparency: TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment we have provided the base compensation range of$115000 - $170000 annually for this position and local market.
