Job Summary

Candidates

  • Must have a B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • EIT certification is preferred but not required
  • Experience in designing preparing and processing land development applications required
  • Experience in designing preparing and processing land development applications in Northern Virginia jurisdictions is preferred but not required
  • Candidates must have the ability to make well-informed design decisions based on their knowledge of civil engineering concepts and locality requirements
  • Contributes to the preparation of full sets of construction plans
  • Ensure the quality of all work completed
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must

Typical Duties Will Include

  • Creation of CAD drawings and details for site and subdivision plans
  • Site Layout and utility design
  • Horizontal and vertical design of roadways
  • Preparation of erosion and sediment control plans
  • Generating hydrologic computations for SWM facilities
  • Performing pavement design computations
  • Performing site distance analysis
  • Preparing site work quantity take-offs.
  • Coordination with internal and external engineers architects etc.
