Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Officer to oversee and manage all logistics activities from documentation to coordination with packaging vendors and transporters. This role requires strong coordination skills attention to detail and a willingness to participate in various logistical tasks to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor and Transporter Liaison: Establish and maintain communication with packaging vendors and transporters to coordinate logistics activities effectively/
- Shop Floor Oversight: Supervise the packing process on the shop floor ensuring adherence to shipment requirements and quality standards participate in shop floor activities during the packing and loading of consignments.
- Document Preparation and Verification: Prepare verify and ensure the accuracy of pre- and post-dispatch documents to facilitate smooth shipments and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Reporting and Compliance Adherence: Report to the Logistics in charge provide detailed updates on logistical activities and strictly adhere to prescribed work schedules and instructions. Coordination with the project team production team and packaging supplier.
- Customs Clearance Support: Assist with customs clearance procedures by visiting Customs at JNPT/Airport as necessary ensuring the timely completion of clearance tasks.
Skill Sets/Experience Required:
- Proven experience (2 years) in logistics particularly in import-export operations with a strong focus on task-oriented roles.
- Knowledge of Incoterms/delivery terms export seaworthy and domestic packaging and insurance coverage for finished products.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a track record of meticulously managing logistical tasks.
- Proficiency in commercial aspects such as documentation invoicing and shipping documents customs rules and formalities etc.
- Experience in monitoring shipments to ensure timely delivery and compliance with regulations.
- Bachelors degree in any specialization (Diploma in Logistics particularly in import-export will be advantageous).
