Job Summary:

The University of Colorados Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Department of Medicine located at the Anschutz Medical Campus is an internationally renowned program that provides comprehensive resources for the diagnosis and therapy of diseases of the digestive tract pancreas and Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology has faculty and staff making contributions to research clinical trials and nationally recognized patient & GI Surgery is highly ranked and our clinical partner the University of Colorado Hospital is highly ranked by U.S. News and World Report. The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is rapidly growing with clinical practices throughout the state of Colorado and over 80 researchers physicians and staff all working toward its vision to prevent and treat disease while being a global model for patient care delivery interdisciplinary research and training.

The ideal candidate will join a well-established six-member interventional endoscopy section with a national and international reputation for clinical care research and candidate will have clinical academic administrative and research skills that will augment the sections current clinical abilities and academic candidate will also have a proven record of clinical and academic excellence and the potential to pursue leadership opportunities in the section and division.

As an important member of the clinical team the Therapeutic Endoscopist will have both inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities including consultations and endoscopic procedures inpatient attending and teaching duties.

The Therapeutic Endoscopist will perform clinical duties at UCH and affiliated hospitals at least 3.5 full days per week for procedures and 0.5 days per week for outpatient protected time for research and/or a leadership position is available based on candidate experience and research funding.

The providercommunicates appropriately and effectively with study subjects investigators and other team membersand hasoutstanding customer service skills and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Key Responsibilities:

oERCP with established experience in altered anatomy and post liver transplant procedures and intraductal endoscopy.

oDiagnostic and therapeutic EUS.

oComplex EMR

oDeep enteroscopy

oAdvanced techniques for enteral access and nutritional support

oTeaching GI fellows and advanced therapeutic endoscopy fellows.

oPresenting at GI grand rounds and other conferences.

oParticipating in CME events organized by the Division.

oMentoring of fellows and faculty.

Work Location:

Onsite- this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora Colorado.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established asHIRING RANGE:

Assistant Professor:$300000-$400000

Associate Professor:$400000-$450000

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
