Join the Ministry of Health in a rewarding role where your expertise in Pacific research and evaluation will directly shape services that improve the health and wellbeing of Pacific young people aged 1024. As ourPrincipal Advisor Pacific Research and Evaluation youll co-lead the design and delivery of culturally grounded research and evaluation initiatives working in partnership with Pacific communities. This is a unique opportunity to embed culturally groundedapproaches mentor emerging talent and influence how evidence is generated and applied across the Ministry to support equity and better outcomes for Pacific peoples.
Oversee the development and implementation of culturally grounded methodologies that reflect Pacific worldviews and support best practice across the Ministrys research and evaluation work.
Provide end-to-end leadership of research and evaluation projects that improve health services for Pacific young people ensuring cultural relevance and community partnership.
Support and coach junior advisors fostering a culture of learning collaboration and continuous improvement in Pacific research and evaluation.
Build trusted relationships with Pacific organisations researchers and communities to ensure research is grounded in lived experience and community aspirations.
Ensure all work reflects the Ministrys commitment to equity and supports improved health outcomes for Pacific peoples through culturally responsive research.

Extensive experience leading and delivering research and evaluation in partnership with Pacific communities using culturally grounded approaches that reflect Pacific worldviews and values ideally within a public sector setting.
A creative and inclusive approach to research that ensures all voices are heard and meaningfully integrated into high-quality timely deliverableseven in complex environments.
Political savvy excellent communication abilities and a track record of working effectively with a wide range of stakeholdersboth independently and as part of a team.
