About the role

The role involves providing assistance to the Compliance Systems and Operations Officer. This includes supporting the prosecution and referral of cases to the Monetary Penalties Enforcement Service handling infringement appeals managing written correspondence and engaging in direct customer interactions.

Role accountabilities include:

  • Perform data entry and maintain databases.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and respond to customer queries.
  • Assist in developing and implementing enhanced or new processes.
  • Coordinate prepare evaluate and manage applications for payment arrangements including debt management.
  • Conduct infringement investigations assess the situation and deliver outcomes in accordance with applicable policies procedures and legislation.

About you

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Possession of a Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) or a similar qualification.
  • Substantial experience working within a regulatory environment preferably in local government.
  • A current driver licence.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service complaint resolution and conflict management.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply legislation policies procedures and legal precedents.
  • High proficiency in the use of word processing spreadsheets content management systems and database applications.
