At Umbrage we think great Product Managers come from all kinds of different professional backgrounds and have diverse skill sets but consistent with all Umbrage Product Managers is their ability to facilitate creative thinking and to communicate strategically to a broad audience.
Umbrage Product Associate Crafters have experiences attitudes and aptitudes that include: Product
- You are familiar with the lifecycle of a software product from inception and ideation to design and development.
- You have some experience facilitating workshop activities.
- You have the communication skills to collaborate with designers and developers and convey the business challenges of our clients.
- You are committed to learning and later leading Agile/Scrum software development activities.
- You have the analysis skills to translate user interface designs and technical requirements into
- You strive continuously to strengthen and expand your knowledge of product management best practices.
Project
- You participate in studio project teams consisting of designers developers testers and other project team members.
- You are timely and thorough in articulating and documenting your contributions to a project.
- You demonstrate the ability to assess the status of a software project and the initiative to work with others to figure out how to move the project forward.
- You demonstrate the ability to identify risks to project delivery as they arise.
- You are comfortable onboarding new team members to a project and helping them get up to speed.
- You are familiar with managing scope budget requirements timeline project deliverables and other nuances of project delivery.
- You are confident in providing project updates on a regular basis to our studio leadership team.
- You set an example for others in your interactions with clients which are professional respectful and confident.
- You develop working relationships with your clients and you foster effective communication between client stakeholders and Umbrage team members.
- You can identify ways to support both the studios best interests and the clients best interests in our joint endeavor.
- You demonstrate the aptitude for good account management skills including communicating with clients and managing expectations.
- You prepare status reports and other client materials for senior team members.
- You look out for the team and support their needs in terms of information resources and support.
- You seek out opportunities to contribute without prompting.
- You are eager to lend a hand.
- You seek support and guidance from others in particular from your craft leads.
- You are honest and respectful in your communications.
- You are engaged and contribute to a positive and productive work environment for all team
- You understand that no duty is too big or too small and you commit to getting the job done right.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Position require the ability to routinely sit; stand; walk; talk and hear; use a keyboard; stoop; twist; reach; lift; bend; and travel to clients offices.
