Job Scope:

Are you an experienced customer focused hunter with a great network and successful track record of winning capital projects for Pumps-Cyclones-Valves (PCV) in minerals processing then our team would love to hear from you.

In this role you will be a key customer facing contact to manage the successful sourcing of RFQs & submission of successful technical value-adding bids converting to orders for project (capital) sales in the PCV business unit for the Asia Pacific region.

What you will do:

  • Customer-facing contact (in addition to Global Capital Sales)

  • Own the opportunity including the proposal clarification and hand-off to project management in both commercial and technical

  • Own everything in the proposal including the final sign-off

  • Responsible for maintaining the CRM opportunities as much as other product lines

  • Develop technical selling timelines and plans with the Global Capital teams Technical Specialists and Global Product Line teams

  • Provide initial guidelines to the inside sales and application engineers for the technical and commercial strategies

  • Pro-active & hands-on management of projects RFQs (capital) from EPCs in close cooperation with the PCV teams taking the initiative to complete all requirements in the process.

  • Take the lead with PCV Customers & ensure capital projects are sourced and converted to orders.

  • Develop strong end-user customer relationships & networks well in advance of projects that allow you to deliver on growth targets

  • Specific hands-on to work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.

  • Organise and manage internal and external client debriefs.

  • Builds CM% growth where possible

What you bring:

  • The successful candidate/s will showcase a personality to suit the requirements of the job e.g. must be able to work under pressure maintain excellent customer relations (internal & external) be proactive and hands on as being specifically accountable for the on-time delivery & within budget delivery of the project.

  • Knowledge of PCV software is required & also MS Office Suite specifically Excel and ERP systems.

  • Strong track record in large capital project sales experience.

  • Experience in collaborating across a matrix organisation

  • A good understanding of the contract terms and conditions that we may work under and will be specifically accountable.

  • Demonstrates good team communication skills and is capable of building and sustaining a strong working environment

  • Technical report writing presentation skills and reporting competency

  • Good organisational skills multitasking and time management skills that delivers effective planning and housekeeping standards.

Travel - Travel is expected in this role. Volumes will vary based on the requirements of the role.
