Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Accounts Payable Analyst is primarily responsible for managing the banks accounts payable process corporate treasury management process supporting the general ledger interface to core as well as a diverse array of other functions to support the day-to-day operations of the department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the banks adherence to key controls owned by the FP&A team
• Perform daily processing of invoices record the transactions to the general ledger and process payments in a timely and accurate manner
• Prepare daily and monthly reconciliations
• Calculate accruals and prepare daily general ledger entries
• Lead month end closing process of accounts payable
• Maintain accurate vendor records update vendor information in accordance with the banks key controls
• Monitor the request queue for the department follow up with stakeholders to ensure a timely and accurate turnaround
• Monitor daily interface reports
• Primarily responsible for the corporate treasury management process and the Contingency Funding Plan
• Perform additional analytics reporting or other duties as assigned commensurate with experience professional growth and ability level/performance
• Attend and document key meetings ensure accurate and comprehensive minutes are recorded
• Assist in preparing meeting materials

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree required and in accounting or finance strongly preferred
• 2 years of banking experience in a similar or otherwise relevant corporate finance role is preferred
• Experience with correspondent bank reconciliations preferred
• Financial Planning & Analysis-level experience preferred
• Prior experience with Microsoft Excel PowerPoint Outlook and Word and adaptable to various systems/software currently utilized at the Bank
• Highly organized; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
• Ability to communicate a completed analysis effectively through verbal and written communication
• Ability to be highly accurate while working under tight deadlines
