Key Responsibilities
Build and strengthen relationships with key water resource leaders and decision makers in Florida and nationwide.
Develop a pipeline of project and program opportunities related to groundwater management underground injection control alternative water supplies and water resource initiatives.
Collaborate with regional office leaders and Community of Practice (COP) leaders to position for upcoming opportunities.
Support projects involving deep well injection mine effluent management and carbon sequestration.
Contribute to the Water Supply and Hydrogeology Community of Practice by supporting team building mentoring and skill development for emerging professionals.
Lead and oversee aquifer well field studies development projects rehabilitation and operational strategies that optimize water supplies through aquifer storage and recovery managed aquifer recharge drought mitigation and saltwater intrusion barriers.
Support scenario planning and implementation for integrated surface and groundwater management programs as well as natural systems restoration efforts in the region and beyond including national and international projects.
Contribute to technology assessments and implementation strategies to meet client groundwater and water resource needs helping to distinguish the firm within the industry.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in client-facing roles as a subject matter expert and in business development.
Proven track record in team building strategy development mentoring and driving business growth.
15 years of hydrogeological and water resource planning and project implementation experience including groundwater management underground injection control water rights brackish groundwater treatment aquifer storage and recovery and related challenges.
Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and manage hydrogeological studies and implementation projects including well field planning design operations and optimization.
Proficiency in drawdown tests aquifer characterization technologies and groundwater modeling.
Experience working with regulatory and state agencies including permitting processes.
Professional Geologist certification in Florida required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Geology Geoscience Earth Science or Environmental Science required; Masters degree preferred.
At least 5 years of experience performing duties similar to those of a Hydrogeologist 6.
Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements which may include background checks drug screening and motor vehicle records review in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
