Job Description

Overview

Gain real-world job experience with a paid summer internship at HarperCollins Christian Publishing. As the worlds largest Christian publisher we are home to authors: Sarah Young Candace Cameron Bure Sadie Robertson Max Lucado Louie Giglio and many more. Build your resume with industry respected training and experience in both publishing and marketing/PR. The gift division prides itself in creating books with great content as well as beautiful features such as four-color printing leathersoft devotionals cookbooks and much more.

Responsibilities

The marketing intern will be responsible for assisting all the specialty marketing and public relations efforts as we prepare for our busy fall book launch season:

The intern will:

  • Help to implement direct-to-consumer content and marketing campaigns through the following
    • Email and blog post creation
    • Creating inspirational & shareable social content
    • Analyzing real-time data to optimize goals
  • Assist with the discovery of bloggers and influencers for promotional efforts
  • Work with our publicity director to develop media kits and related press materials for authors
  • Put together a multi-faceted marketing campaign plan to reach 1822-year-old consumers with our devotional content
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2026 or 2027 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors recent graduates masters students or entry level candidates with up to two years of work experience.
  • Candidates must be available to work 28 hours per week Monday through Thursday from June 8 to August 13 2026. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are mandatory in-office days at our Nashville headquarters while Mondays and Thursdays are remote workdays. Compensation for this internship is $18 per hour.
  • Applicants mustbe authorized towork in the United States.

  • Basic understanding of the Christian faith is preferred
  • Retail experience especially in a book or gift store setting is helpful but not required
  • College junior or senior majoring in business communications English journalism marketing public relations or related fields
  • Understanding of various social media platforms
  • Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Basic knowledge of social media and its benefits for marketing purposes
  • Graphic design experience a plus
