The Opportunity:

    • The data specialist helps ensure that the KPMG is a data driven and insights led firm. The role will develop and manage the data solutions and leverage that data to visualise and communicate insights effectively in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • The data specialist will also help ensure that innovation is an area of focus continuously enhancing and modernising our data practices and capabilities in collaboration with members of the data community whilst ensuring that products and services meet high standards of security performance and reliability.
    • This role is a 6 month fixed term contract.

Day to day you will:

    • Design develop and maintain data pipelines and analytical solutions.
    • Integrate and manage data from various sources (including APIs) using ETL processes.
    • Produce BI reporting solutions and support data models in operational data stores.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and provide reliable solutions.
    • Ensure optimal performance and security of data products.

About you:

    • Expertise in SQL Server T-SQL Power BI PowerShell and Azure Cloud.
    • Strong background in database development data warehousing SSIS & SSAS.
    • Familiarity with Event Driven Architecture using Azure services (Event Hubs & Function Apps)
    • Coding experience inPython and working knowledge of Azure DevOps & pipelines.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Professionalism organisational skills and a proactive collaborative approach.
    • Able to work in a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate with ITS group members KPMG stakeholders and external vendors.
