• The incumbent of this position will be responsible for providing instructional guidance and curriculum development for all offenders enrolled in ALCs Hi-Set program.
• Assists with enhancing student (offender) learning and achievement; providing consultation and professional development activities to faculty to enhance educational effectiveness.
• Monitoring all students attendance and compiling data.
• Assists the Educational Director and officials with the Department of Education plan and coordinate education services for the offender population.
• The incumbent will also administer academic tests on a scheduled basis determine if and when the student has successfully passed all pre-requisites for taking the final Hi-SET exam and schedule the student for the next available testing class.
• This position is also responsible for monitoring all students work on a daily basis and recommending placement from one level to another.

• This position will be expected to work 40 hours per week 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday 12 months a year excluding state holidays for a total of 2080 work hours.
• Qualifications must include a current valid Louisiana Teachers Certificate in an academic content area with an Adult Education endorsement or take six semester hours per academic year approved by the Education Director to renew an expired or to acquire a Louisiana teaching certificate with an Adult Education endorsement. Salary will be determined by the Allen Parish School Board pay plan for a 2080 hour work year which will be based upon experience certification and education level.
• No Civil Service test score is required in order to be considered for this vacancy.
