Job Summary
University of Iowa Health CareDepartment of Nursing is seeking a 75% - 100% Licensed Practical Nurse to work in our Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Duties to include:
- Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
- Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
- In less complex situations may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing more complex situations performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.
- Performs patient care related to vital signs lab draws setting up and assisting with minor procedures in-clinic treatments point of care testing and other duties as assigned.
- Provides psychological support to the patient and family based on assessed needs.
- Other duties as assigned.

Percent of Time: 75% -100% (30 hrs/week - 40 hrs/week)
Salary:Merit Plan Plan
Schedule: Monday- Friday variable hours between 0700-1730. No weekends No Holidays.
Location: Main Campus University

- Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing or eligible for temporary work permit. Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
