About the role
Perform laboratory testing and allocated tasks with accuracy and efficiency ensuring timely delivery of results across designated disciplines.
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment manage supplies and monitor quality control performance to uphold reliable diagnostic standards.
Report critical and urgent results promptly to clinicians and locations supporting safe and effective patient care.
Work collaboratively within the team consulting with supervisors or senior staff where appropriate and contributing to a safe efficient workplace.
Engage in professional development through education sessions unit and SydPath meetings and actively contribute to quality system maintenance and improvement.
About you
Relevant tertiary qualification in pathology or medical laboratory operations (or equivalent) with subjects aligned to the discipline and laboratory practice.
Practical knowledge and experience in pathology service delivery including Laboratory Information Systems Patient Systems and Quality Systems.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities meet deadlines and work flexibly and efficiently across varied shifts.
Strong interpersonal oral and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach to supporting clinicians patients and laboratory staff.
Demonstrated initiative problem-solving and analytical ability with a commitment to continuous quality improvement and safe laboratory practices.
