Job Summary

The IDEXX laboratory team are currently seeking a motivated Veterinary Laboratory Scientist to join our laboratory in a part time role. Working in our Melbourne location based in Mount Waverley. As a member of our multidisciplinary team you as the successful hire will ensure the provision of high-quality efficient effective and timely diagnostic testing services for the IDEXX Reference Laboratories. You will apply professional knowledge in blood science investigations exercising professional judgement in interpretation verification laboratory analyses tests and validation of the results.

You as a Scientist will ensure that IDEXX Reference Laboratories operate at the highest level of accuracy by performing supervising and acting upon quality control procedures setting up instruments and preparing running interpreting and releasing results while troubleshooting performance in compliance with NATA and ISO accreditation/certification requirements.

What Youll Bring

A Bachelor of Medical Science/or equivalent degree.
Experience working in one or more of the following in a diagnostics laboratory: Haematology Biochemistry Endocrinology Urinalysis and Parasitology.
An understanding of IANZ and ISOstandards
The ability to be work within the hours of 4 am and 7pm Monday to Saturday
Experience in operating efficiently and effectively to meet tight turnaround times in a commercial lab environment
Passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
People leadership skills or an interest in leading a team is highly desired
