Director of Customer Support & Sales Operations - Arlington TX

Our client is a wholesale importer of over 30 years located in Arlington TX. Their selection of products includes Christmas Fall Halloween Spring and Easter merchandise as well as garden and floral accents.
Each season customers are provided with a new array of items to choose from with hundreds of new designs in coordinating themes. With showroom locations including Atlanta Dallas and Las Vegas our client has taken on an array of new business and is actively searching for a Director of Customer Support & Sales Operations to assist with initiatives within.
Position Summary:
The Director of Customer Support and Credit is responsible for leading and overseeing the companys Key Accounts Customer Support and Credit teams. This role develops best practice processes ensures strong customer service manages credit risk and aligns departmental strategy with overall company goals. The Director plays a critical role in supporting sales growth while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
Manage and provide guidance to the Key Accounts Customer Support and Credit teams.
Mentor coach and develop team members to ensure high performance and consistent execution.
Process Development & Training
Develop implement and maintain best practice processes and procedures across Customer Support and Credit functions.
Create and update training guidelines documentation and position descriptions to align with future talent needs.
Organizational Structure & Strategy
Recommend and implement organizational structures to balance customer needs with company goals.
Define roles and responsibilities between external reps and internal support teams to improve efficiency.
Provide strategic recommendations to leadership that support sales growth and service excellence.
Customer & Sales Support
Analyze sales trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
Act as a point of escalation for complex customer and sales issues ensuring timely resolution.
Oversee customer credit decisions including establishing terms managing credit lines and handling collections.
Support Key Account and Customer Support teams in delivering exceptional service to drive loyalty and revenue.
Performance & Reporting
Monitor team performance and customer satisfaction metrics.
Report on department activities identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business finance management or related field preferred.
Tenured manager with at least 3-5 years of managerial experience (SMB highly preferred) coupled with 5-10 years of Customer Support experience - all recent.
Proven experience in customer support credit retail/wholesale or sales operations.
Strong leadership experience with ability to mentor and guide cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated success in process development documentation and training.
Ability to analyze data trends and customer behavior to support decision-making.
Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Adaptability problem-solving ability and capacity to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
