Job Summary
LK Jordan is currently seeking an Accounting Specialist to support the financial operations of an advertising company by managing key functions in accounts payable accounts receivable and client billing. This role also assists in compiling and analyzing financial data on a monthly basis to support accurate reporting and informed decision-making. Schedule is Monday- Friday from 8am- 5pm or 8:30am- 5:30pm with the option to go hybrid once hired on permanently. Pay rate can go up to $26.44 hourly DOE.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable
Process all vendor invoices employee expense reports and related documentation to ensure accurate job billing.
Maintain organized physical and digital vendor records.
Track and update accounts payable summaries regularly.
Issue payments for vendor invoices and company-related expenses.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with production and media vendors.
Investigate and resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies.
Receive all incoming payments (cash and checks) and prepare bank deposits.
Billing and Client Finance
Manage client billing processes for media and production ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
Collaborate with the Media department to reconcile media buys and vendor payments.
Develop and maintain relationships with client finance teams to support accounts receivable and collections.
Coordinate and manage client-requested external audits.
Support Account Services with client budget reporting.
Assist with ad hoc financial projects and reporting as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field highly preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong understanding of financial statements including the ability to prepare and analyze balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret and follow written verbal and visual instructions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and Word.
