Job Summary

  • Location: Broken Hill
  • Work type: Full-time temporary to 30 June 2026
  • LLS Grade 3 starting at $75728 super & leave
  • Conduct field operations to reduce the impact of feral pigs and other invasive species
  • Assist with surveillance compliance and control programs
  • Work directly with landholders community groups and partner agencies to deliver coordinated pest management activities
  • Support emergency biosecurity responses and contribute to recovery programs when required
Every day brings something different from monitoring feral pig activity to supporting landholders in implementing best-practice control measures.

What were looking for

We are looking for motivated practical and adaptable individuals who enjoy hands-on fieldwork. You will bring:
  • Knowledge and/or qualifications in agriculture biosecurity pest management or natural resource management
  • Experience with pest animal management and safe use of pesticides (or willingness to gain this knowledge)
  • Capacity to obtain and maintain a NSW Firearms Licence and relevant Statement of Attainment for humane animal destruction (AHCVPT203A AHCPMG304)
  • Current NSW Driver Licence and the ability to work flexibly across the region
