Job Summary

Role Overview

The Business Intelligence Specialist (Senior) is responsible for the design development and support of BI solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. The role focuses on analyzing business requirements designing scalable BI models and delivering insights through dashboards reports and data visualizations.

Key Responsibilities

Gather analyze and document business requirements for BI solutions.
Design develop and maintain ETL processes for data integration across multiple systems.
Build and optimize data models cubes and semantic layers for reporting and analytics.
Develop dashboards scorecards and visualizations using BI tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau SSRS).
Ensure data quality consistency and governance across reporting environments.
Work with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights that support strategic initiatives.
Perform performance tuning optimization and troubleshooting of BI solutions.
Collaborate with data architects developers and business teams to align BI solutions with enterprise data strategies.
Provide knowledge transfer documentation and training to business users.

Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field.
7 years of experience in Business Intelligence Data Warehousing and Analytics.
Strong expertise with BI tools: Power BI Tableau SSRS.
Proven experience in ETL development and data modeling.
Hands-on experience with SQL relational databases (SQL Server Oracle DB2 PostgreSQL).
Strong knowledge of data governance metadata and master data management principles.
Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery.

Nice to Have:

Experience with cloud-based BI and data platforms (Azure AWS GCP).
Knowledge of Snowflake and other cloud data warehouses.
Familiarity with Python R or Spark for advanced analytics.
Public sector project experience.
