ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you eager to be at the front line in shaping Australias maritime decarbonisation transition
The Environment Policy and Standards team is seeking a Director on a non-ongoing basis to help shape Australias domestic and international efforts to protect the marine environment from the impacts of shipping.
Reporting to the Senior Director Environment Policy and Standards and leading a small team the Director Decarbonisation will formulate examine and evaluate policy and make recommendations on policy and regulatory issues (technical and administrative) related to international maritime emission reduction conventions and their implementation in Australia.
The Director Decarbonisation will use their strong communication liaison policy and analytical skills to identify and pursue engagement opportunities both internationally and domestically develop and/or inform Australias position on decarbonisation in the maritime sector and provide recommendations on how Australia should respond.
